I just saw this film on Saturday with my 75-year old father who is a fan of anything Sci-Fi or Fantasy. It was he who chose this film, as it wasnt really one that appealed to me. However, I think I ended up liking it more than he did. The film is visually stunning, with an absolutely wonderful musical score. Im so glad I offered to pay the extra to see the IMAX 3-D version — it was simply gorgeous. My only caveat is that its quite violent. I would not recommend it for children under 10 years. Its too dark and harsh for little ones. Overall, the film was much better than I expected. Its made me curious about the book I may check it out and give it a read.

it was a great well put together movie, the graphics, special effects are beautiful and awesome! definitly suggest everyone of all ages must see this one!!!!!!!

This was my first experience at a theatre for 3D. I didnt expect it to be worthy of my Disney World and Universal 3D experiences from years ago but this was incredible! It kept me totally enthralled between the story and 3D affects. I do feel it would be too intense for children under 8. There deffinately is a message in it like Happy Feet. Enjoy!

This movie was absolutely dreadful. It was more violent than Harry Potter!!!! I know its PG for some scary events …ok like killing, kidnapping, murdering, killing your own brother. AWFUL

My 8 year old daughter went to sleep and my 13 year old son yawned 12 way through it (both kids love movies and it was very unususal for them to get bored during one). My husband and I both grew weary from it also. Visually it is very pretty and the special effects amazing. We are glad we did not pay the extra for 3DIMAX most of it was was made just for 3DIMAX. The story was a classic bad guys vs good guys one. The ending was left wide open for at least one sequel. My suggestion, wait for the video.

Quite simply, this is the best looking animated movie. The level of detail is astounding, and the 3-D effects are used to perfection in this film. This is a must-see 3-D movie. The story is more mature than I expected. Its more about a Lord-of-the-Rings-style war of good vs. evil than anything else. I think older fans will enjoy the story, but the little ones should be kept interested by the spectacular 3-D. I took a group of six-year-old girls and they were entertained. Overall, a so-so storyline with decent voice-acting to go along with the best looking movie in the genre. For 3-D fans a no-brainer.

this ones the ONLY one that hit the mark! Im an adult who has read all of the books in the series and I was THRILLED to see that Snyder was doing it the moment he was announced, because as far as I was concerned – he was the only one who could do visual justice to it and he doesnt tend to mess with the source material as badly as some OTHER (ShyamalanAvatar – need I say more.) directors. They compressed more than just the first three books – lots of details from other books are here, but they kept the heart of it and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my husband and daughter. We did not get to see it in 3D, btw, but husband and I likely will. It IS violent, in almost a Watership Down way, but not quite. I wont allow my seven year old to view Watership Down, even though I watch it every now and then. The messages in it are NOT preachy like that horrible Happy Feet movie. Coming out of the same studio doesnt mean they affect the story any. (I really HATED Happy Feet.)

First off, the visuals. Seeing this in 3D is a must. Its one of those rare movies thats actually worth the price of splurging on those overpriced 3d glasses. A couple of scenes seem a little too 2D for my tastes, but overall the graphics are spectacular. The story. Its simple. A little self-absorbed at times. But, its fairly creative and attention-keeping. Were I say, 12 or 13 instead of 29, itd leave a more lasting impression on me. Thankfully, despite being a family movie, its not entirely geared towards little kids. It has some darker concepts that might be a little harsh for anyone younger then 11 or so. Brother on brother violence, the bad brother being misguided and turning on his family. Lots of sharp looking scenes. By sharp I mean deadly metal-talon weapons, frightening, edged helmets, bats nearly decapitating birds. Acting was pretty good, story was good so long as youre not expecting oscar worthy material, the graphics are insanely good, and a great lead-in for a sequel.

I recently attended a free screening of this film. This story was really clichd and very derivative of about a millionothers. There also wasnt enough to the story–it was pretty bland anduninteresting. It was hard to tell which owl was on which side duringthe fighting scenes. It was also hard to tell exactly what was beingdone to whom during the fighting scenes. It came off kind of like a movie designed for children, honestly. Butits probably a little too violent or otherwise disturbing for verysmall children. Except as noted above, the animation was pretty cool and interesting,but I enjoyed the visual aspect of 300 much more. It wasnt awful orboring, but its not a film to which I can give more than a 410.

Do not let any negative comments deter you from the overall grade. You will be laughing throughout this movie. 3D is a nice touch as it increases the immersion (Its not meant as a reach-out-and-grab-you effect like the old days). The stunts and gags were great and the gross stuff was pretty gross (yet still unbelievably funny). From the celebrity guest intro to the poo cocktail supreme finale, this movie was well worth the (3D) ticket price. Go see it!

All the people that say the 3d was weak just dont get it. The 3D made you feel like you were there live with the guys watching 5 feet away from the stunts. Its not the 3d where stuff is flying out from the screen at you… If you liked the 1st 2 movies and the show youll love this one, just as good or better. If you dont like the show and other two movies you wont like it. Bottom line. I laughed from the 1st minute to last.

This is the best of the three movies. Great art direction, 3d is crisp and used well, new super clear slow motion, editing is great. It is non-stop laughs. well done. If you dont like the other movies this will change your mind. If you like the others, you wont be disappointed.

Just like the rest of the jackass movies and tv show it rocked. Jackass is just how I lived my childhood life. Im glad to see money to be made off being real. If you like jackass, check out where it all began- the CKY videos.

Oh wow. We just got back from watching Jackass 3D. The only other time I laugh this hard when watching Tosh.0. I was not the only one in the audience laughing this hard by all the coughing after the first 10 minutes. The gang does it again for a third time with more outrageous stunts and acts of jackassness. Steve-O made an awesome come back in this movie after getting sober and staying off the drugs, but after one stunt I will not be surprised if he is hitting up the bottle again. The 3D effects were not bad, I have a hard time with 3D movies since I wear regular glasses and the 3D glasses do not sit well over my own. Oveall an excellent movie if have not laughed hard for a long time or just need some mindless humor to get you through a tough time. One last warning do not eat alot before this movie, and becareful if you have a sensitive stomach.

Rave Cinemas in Huber Heights has decided to enforce their own age restrictions for all rated R movies. Theyve decided that you must be 18 and someone over 21 is the only acceptable age of a chaperone for anyone under 18 to see a Rated R movie. I thought their were national standards for this type of thing? Why would a local cinema enforce something more stringent? Are they run by holy rollers?

Let me say first off…I loved the first two Jackass movies. And the 3D is pretty cool, but aside from that, this movie was fantastically TERRIBLE!!!! It had a few of those Oh my God that mustve hurt like hell! moments, but apart from that, these guys couldnt come up with one good joke in the entire time that went by between part two and this one. Jackass officially sucks now! If you laugh at this movie itll be because you feel some social obligation to do so but when you think back after the moments past youll realize the awful reality….Dammit theres still forty five minutes left in this piece of garbage!! Boo on Jackass for stealing 13.50 from me and shame on them for taking nearly two hours of my life that I will never get back( If you are reading this, go do something else with your 14 bucks cuz Jackass is a total wash.
