I think people need to stop being so pretentious about music. If this song had been written by Justin Bieber or first performed on I don’t know…let’s say the X-factor…would you not listen to it just because it’s too ”mainstream” and thus a complete sell-out?
As for artists like Thom Yorke allowing their music to be used for films such as Twilight…what else can they do? I’d say 80% of people nowadays download illegally, thus artists aren’t getting the money they deserve.

I too get annoyed but have decided to look at it positively: These great artists are getting exposure to more people, which means more popularity and hence pushes mainstream pop crap out of the charts!

It holds a certain validity seeing twilight does seem to hold excellent soundtracks, I’m sure the movie brought several artists inkling T.Y alot of extra attention, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Also, I wouldn’t classify hip-hop/rap as “non-artistic”. I’ve seen so many more hip hop artists, perform, create, produce, master many more of their own songs then alot of pop/electro/rock artists do now a days. Though that doesn’t neces

wow im surprised w/ twilights soundtrack. never saw the movies myself, but pretty cool, considering twilights like all, mainstream and stuff. these artists are underrated so why the hell not introduce 12 year old girls to good music?
